SMA Technology

Exergyn’s innovative shape memory alloy (SMA) technology provides solid-state heating, and cooling without using the planet-polluting F-gas refrigerants currently prevalent in most HVAC systems.

Exergyn’s SMA core is zero GWP, non-toxic, non-flammable, and cost-effective, opening up new possibilities for energy efficiency. Fully sustainable, these cores can outlast the equipment in which they are used and can be reused.

Suitable for use in a wide range of industries and applications, and unaffected by humidity, this technology offers a solution for providing climate-friendly heating and cooling in our rapidly warming world.

In collaboration with some of the world’s leading HVAC industrial partners, this technology is suitable for use in HVAC, refrigeration, automotive, marine, and aerospace applications.

Value Proposition

By 2030, every company using a refrigerant will be subject to increasingly stringent regulations. Exergyn’s technology solution is regulation-free and will remain so. Our proposition delivers a sustainable, climate-friendly, and cost-effective alternative suitable for a variety of uses across multiple industries and applications.

Versatile Modular Technology for Heating and Cooling Needs
Exceptional Efficiency, Power Density, and Longevity
Minimal Noise Emissions
Eliminates issues such as Leaks, Refrigerant Servicing, and End-of-Life Recovery
Environmentally Friendly – No Global Warming Potential (GWP) or Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP)
Eliminates Regulatory Complexity and Risk

Solid-State SMA Technology

Exergyn’s solid-state solution aligns with the planet’s need to phase out ‘F-Gases’ and provide a highly efficient, cost-effective, flexible, and sustainable alternative to achieve industrial decarbonisation and F-Gas removal. Through years of research and development, Exergyn has pioneered this technology by creating a shape memory alloy from nitinol and nickel titanium alloys.
